Learning and Inspiration

Get inspired and expand your understanding through one of our classes, seminars, speakers series or programs in gardening, photography, nature, ecology or wellness. Our offering changes each season and is designed to inspire wonder and open your senses to new discoveries.

Most programs and sessions are held at Betty Ford Alpine Gardens, either in our Education Center or within the gardens itself. Check our calendar for most current programming information.

In addition to adult education, the Gardens offers programming for children and families throughout the summer season. Check the Event Calendar for weekly happenings that keep little humans’ hearts and minds busy and occupied in the beautiful natural setting of our outdoor gardens.

And the Gardens provides education programs, speakers and materials to support educators and classrooms with supplemental learning to amplify local school students’ understanding of the environment in which they live. This includes hosting an annual Butterfly Launch every spring in Ford Park, where classrooms release their incubated butterflies into the wild.

Members of the Betty Ford Alpine Gardens also enjoy use of an extensive resource library and online database, in partnership with Vail Public Library. The Kirsten E. Liebhaber Memorial Library is located in the Education Center of the Gardens and is accessible to all Members of the Gardens, as a benefit of annual membership.
