






A map of the Gardens is on display at the entrance kiosks along with brochures. Enjoy the winding pathways, informative panels, outdoor exhibit and alpine plants at your own pace.







Public tours are available Memorial Day – Labor Day on Monday and Saturday from 10:30 – 11:30 a.m. Please meet your guide at the Education Center and plan to arrive 10 minutes early. Tours max at 15 guests, buy your ticket beforehand to ensure your spot. $25 per person.







Join us at 10am on Tuesdays and Wednesdays for a guided walk through the Gardens pointing out the Top Ten Blooms of the moment. Appropriate for adults and families. Plan to take 30-40 minutes. Register at the Education Center, $10 per family, 15 people max so arrive on time!







Winter Tree Trail & Vail Tales
January – March | Wednesdays & Thursdays | 10:30 – 11:30 a.m.
A Gardens naturalist will take you on an guided snowshoe tour suitable for all ability levels. Turn your eyes up to the trees to understand their role in the mountain ecosystem. Warm up afterward with a cup of hot chocolate and engage in drop-in activities available in the Education Center. Dress warm.
Cost: $25 Includes snowshoe rental.

Rent a pair of snowshoes and poles at the Education Center and explore the trails through the Gardens and along Gore Creek for a quiet winter wonderland experience. Grab a handout to explore each point of interest in detail, go hands-free and let the educational signs along the trail guide your curiosity.
Adult & youth sizes (ages 5+). Snow permitting. Cost: $10







Available for groups up to 50 persons Monday through Saturday from June through early September. The tour will wind through the botanical gardens and end at the Schoolhouse Gift Shop in the Children’s Garden. You’ll learn about alpine flora and mountain environments, identification, and the history of Betty Ford Alpine Gardens and Vail.
