BOOK YOUR PRIVATE EXPERIENCE

Available for groups up to 50 persons Monday through Saturday from June through early September. The tour will wind through the botanical gardens and end at the Schoolhouse Gift Shop in the Children’s Garden.

You’ll learn about alpine flora and mountain environments, identification, and the history of Betty Ford Alpine Gardens and Vail.

Tours begin at the Education Center and last roughly one hour.

Pricing: Starts at $300 | Includes up to 10 people
Each additional guest is $30/person

Before completing this form, please understand:

  • Due to the coordination of tour guides, private tour reservation requests must be made at least 2 weeks in advance.
  • A request does not guarantee a reservation.
  • A 50% nonrefundable deposit is required upon confirmation.
  • Payment is due in full at the time of the tour through original invoice.
  • Final attendance count is required 1 week before the confirmed tour date.
  • Our tours take place at an elevation of 8,200 feet, which can present challenges for guests who are not acclimated to higher altitudes—especially those with heart, respiratory, or other physical conditions. Paths are ADA accessible but may be uneven—wear sturdy shoes.
  • Tours are outdoors and run rain or shine. Weather in the mountains can change rapidly, please dress accordingly and bring rain gear if needed. Shade is limited, so hats, sunglasses, sunscreen, and water are highly recommended.

Parking: Ford Park Parking Lot is available for non commercial vehicles. Larger vehicles may need to make other arrangements for parking such as parking on North Frontage Road. Please allow 10 minutes for your group to walk from Ford Park parking lot or Vail Village parking structure to the Education Center. Parking is $2/hour with the first hour free.
